MADISON, Wis. — The Dairy Business Association, Wisconsin’s leading dairy lobbying group, issued a statement today after Gov. Tony Evers on Monday appointed Randy Romanski as the secretary designee of the state Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection. Romanski must still be confirmed by the state Senate.
DBA President Tom Crave, who is a farmer and cheesemaker in Waterloo, Wis., made the following comments:
“The Dairy Business Association has appreciated the work of Randy Romanski while he has served as interim secretary for the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, especially during the challenges caused by the pandemic. We congratulate Mr. Romanski on his appointment as secretary and look forward to continuing to work with him and his team at DATCP through this crisis and beyond. Maintaining a cooperative and productive relationship between our dairy community and the state’s agriculture department is essential to moving Wisconsin’s signature industry forward.”
